Dalila

Dalila is 11 years old and is in fourth grade. This is her second year at Chispas of Change. Dalila likes making friends at school. She says that she doesn’t feel lonely anymore. She likes to read books at school. Her favorite book is “Henry El Heroe.”

Dalila lives with her mother, grandparents, aunts, and uncles. After school, she goes home and does her homework. She sometimes takes a nap. On the weekends, she likes to go to the mountains with her mother to harvest coffee. On Sundays, she likes to go to church with her mother. Dalila’s favorite food is estofado.

Dalila wants to be a lawyer when she grows up so that she can help children who don’t have parents. Her goal is to graduate from high school someday. She wants her mother to be proud of her.
