Ilma

Ilma is 9 years old and is in first grade. This is her second year at Chispas of Change. Her older brother, Juan Jesús, is in second grade at Chispas. She likes Chispas because she gets to eat here. She also likes it when Estuardo teaches PE class because she sweats a lot and gets tired. She also likes to paint during class.

Ilma lives with her mother and her little brother, Fernando. After school, she likes to play with her little brother in their toy house. On the weekends, she likes to play in the field with her brother. She also likes to help her mother. Sometimes, she goes to run an errand at the store by herself, but she doesn’t feel scared because she carries a stick with her and looks both ways before she crosses the street. Ilma’s favorite food is pizza.

When Ilma grows up, she wants to be like Estuardo and Callie, teaching children to obey their mothers. Her goal is to finish elementary school, and then eventually to graduate from high school so that she can help others.
