Mayerly

Mayerly is 11 years old and is in fourth grade. This is her first year at Chispas of Change. Mayerly likes Chispas because everyone is friendly and spends time with her. She says that the teachers are very caring. She is happy because she has made many new friends here.

Mayerly lives with her parents, grandparents, and sisters. After school, she likes to go home and read the books that Estuardo gave her. She really likes the book “El Burro Desafortunado.” On the weekends, she sells chuchitos with her mother. She likes to go out to sell because she learned how to sell starting when she was very young. Her favorite food is her grandmother’s estofado.

Mayerly wants to be a babysitter when she grows up because she really likes babies, and also a doctor so that she can take care of sick people. Her goal is to learn more about the Bible and to learn English.
