Meyer's Story
Hola, I’m Meyer. I am twelve years old. I’m the second-oldest of 7 siblings. I work selling peanuts in the streets of Antigua on the weekend. My mom sells peanuts in San Felipe (a community near Antigua) every day.
I came to Chispas of Change because my friend Yovani (a former Chispas student) told my mom about the school and so we went to find out more and now I am part of Chispas of Change!
What I like most about Chispas are the classes, doing homework, and lunch every day.
In Chispas of Change I have learned how to read and write!
In ten years, I see myself working as a teacher at Chispas of Change.
Wow, that last line definitely brought a smile to our faces. Imagine – the current students of Chispas of Change someday becoming the teachers for future generations! That is actually our goal – to equip leaders who will lead their families, friends, and future children with biblical principles and values!
We sure do miss seeing Meyer’s smiling face and big hair each morning! Pray for him to be able to focus and progress in his lessons during this season. And pray for the peace of God to fill his home during this unusual season. Thank you for reading Meyer’s story!
