Sucely's Story
Hi, I’m Sucely.
I’m 15 years old, and this year I will finish elementary school! My family has a very sad story because when I was growing up, my dad used to hit my mom. Me and my brothers and sisters would get really sad and cry. Now, we still aren’t happy because my parents aren’t together anymore. We wish that my parents were together and that we could be happy together like a big, beautiful family.
I found out about Chispas of Change through Rachel, one of Mrs. Callie’s friends. Now I go to school in Antigua! I never imagined being somewhere like Chispas. The teachers received me well and accept me just as I am. I am happy because of all that they have taught me, and because the classes we receive are so good. I always pay attention in English class because I really like it and the teacher is friendly.
The quarantine has been hard for me. I really miss going to school. I miss my teachers and classmates, and also the yummy food. I’m happy at Chispas of Change, and I’m ready for classes to start back again!
My dream is that ten years from now I will be a really good police officer. The best police officer! I will give my very best to the world and I will be there for many people who need help.
A frequent topic during Bible Class is understanding God as our Father. He created each of us, and loves us so very much. We can talk to him anytime, anywhere, and he will hear us. He loves us more than we can imagine!
Sucely has been through more in her 15 years than many of us will experience in a lifetime. Will you join us in praying for her and her family this year? Pray for her to experience God’s transforming love like never before. Pray for her to understand that God cares for her more than anyone in the world!
